How It Works
It works in tandem with a smartphone app, allowing an administrator to track, monitor and control it from anywhere. While the vehicle is running, no cell network activity can happen without a responsible administrator’s knowledge and permission.
Analytics such as location and speed are viewable on the app in realtime. If the device is switched off, the app immediately sends an alert via text message.
When turned off, an annoying audible chime immediately begins to sound and gets louder every 10 seconds to discourage unnecessary use of the phone. When the device is off, ANY AND ALL CELLULAR FUNCTIONS ARE RESTORED.
Learn About The App
Track, monitor and control the HandsDown device from anywhere.
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE APP
Download the app, and set up your user profile.
STEP 2: PLUG IN THE DEVICEIn the vehicle that will be monitored, plug the HandsDown device into either an electrical outlet, or the cigarette lighter.
STEP 3: TURN IT ON/OFFPush the switch at the top of the device towards the green light. When it lights up the device is powered on, disabling the cell phone signals within the vehicle. Turn the device off in order to make a emergency call.
The HandsDown device does not affect other cars on the road.
Wait, sometimes you really have to make a call! Just turn off the device
HandsDown can still be disabled in an emergency, allowing the driver to reconnect to the network and do what they need to do. But it immediately notifies the admin, so there had better be a darned good reason.
